Stay 2 nights at Arusha Serena lodge upon your arrival in Tanzania to ease into the safari experience and recover from the long journey. Fly to the Serengeti National Park where you will spend 5 nights inside park. Fly to Kigali (Rwanda) for an overnight stay before heading to Volcanoes National Park for your gorilla trekking.

Enjoy a city tour before heading out to Volcanoes where you will spend the next two nights at Mountain Gorilla View Lodge, gorilla trek the next day. Transfer to Kigali in time for your own onward flight arrangements.

Day 1: Arrival at Kilimanjaro Airport

• Arusha

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) in Tanzania, you’ll be met by a Northland Tanzania Safaris representative and transferred to Arusha Serena Lodge where you will stay for two nights. Arusha Serena Lodge is located just outside of Arusha City Center a good idea to be away from the hustle and bustle of town.

Day 2: Arusha Town Tour

• Arusha

After breakfast, you will have the optional to walk around lake Duluti or Canoeing at the same lake or Arusha town tour where our representative will drive you to the city center which takes 20 minutes to drive where you will explore and experience locals, later you will visit Cultural Heritage Center for hot lunch. Drive back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3 & 7: Serengeti National Park

• Serengeti National Park

Fly to the Serengeti National Park where you’ll spend 5 nights, (2 nights in the center and 3 nights in the south/west/north depends on the great migration season). This wonderful and famous national park tells a good conservation story and offers excellent game viewing!

Day 8: Fly to Kigali Rwanda

Fly from Serengeti to Arusha and connect your flight to Kigali (Rwanda). You will be met on arrival and transferred to Kigali Serena Hotel for your overnight stay.

Day 9: Kigali Town Tour

• Kigali Town

Take a guided tour of Kigali, including a visit to the Rwandan Genocide Memorial – a “must do!”. In the afternoon drive through the mountainous region through to the north-west of Rwanda to Volcanoes National Park. You’ll stay 2 nights at Mountain Gorilla View Lodge.

Day 10: Mountain Gorilla Trekking

• Mountain Gorilla Trekking

Set off early this morning on your gorilla trekking adventure! Upon reaching the gorillas you’ll spend an hour or so with the family before descending the mountain. Return to the lodge for a much-needed shower and some down-time.

Day 11: Fly Back Home

• Airport – Home

After a leisurely breakfast, return to Kigali and visit the Central Marketplace. From there we can transfer you to the airport for your own onward flight arrangements.
