Safari Itinerary

We leave Arusha for Tarangire National Park. This park covering approximately 2600 square kilometers is spectacular in the dry season when many of the migratory wildlife species come back to the permanent waters of the Tarangire River. Huge herds of wildebeest, zebras, elephants, eland, and oryx gather to stay in Tarangire until the onset of the rains when they migrate again to good grazing areas.

We head to Lake Manyara National Park, a safari paradise that provides the perfect introduction to Tanzania’s birdlife. More than 400 species have been recorded, and even a first-time visitor to Africa might reasonably expect to observe 100 of these in one day. Inland of the floodplain, a narrow belt of acacia woodland is the favored haunt of Manyara’s legendary tree-climbing lions and impressively tusked elephants.

After breakfast, we will drive to Serengeti National Park in the Central Seronera. This park is well-known for its healthy stock of resident wildlife, particularly the “Big Five”: Lion, Leopard, Elephant, Rhino, and Buffalo.

Serengeti, a UNESCO world heritage site, is home to around 200,000 zebras, and 300,000 Thomson’s gazelles that join the wildebeests’ trek for fresh grazing. Listen to the exotic sounds of over 6 million hooves pounding the open plains of Serengeti just like how you imagined African wildlife to be.

Early morning breakfast then full day game viewing around central Serengeti to explore the wildlife. This park is well-known for its healthy stock of resident wildlife, particularly the “Big Five”: Lion, Leopard, Elephant, Rhino, and Buffalo.

The Ngorongoro Conservation Area (NCA) is an extensive highland area along the eastern arm of the Rift Valley, with the world-renowned Ngorongoro Crater as its focal point. Ngorongoro has been established to conserve wildlife and other natural resources. It also safeguards the interests of indigenous people and promotes tourism.

After breakfast transfer to Mto wa Mbu for cultural activities and shopping (village walk, tinga tinga paintings, Makonde carvings, visit banana farm/banana beer, local Masai markets, local school, and hospital visit, after lunch transfer we will head back to Arusha and arrange for your transfer to the airport/ hotel.
